About Love-Ese

Dr. Love-Ese Chile is a sustainable plastic researcher with eight years of experience researching both the creation and degradation of bio-derived and biodegradable plastics. She completed her doctoral research on biodegradable plastics at the University of British Columbia in 2017. During her studies she became a vocal supporter of sustainability, green chemistry and community-driven science.

Dr. Chile is currently Technical Lead and COO at Regenerative Waste Labs in Vancouver BC and Principle Consultant at Grey to Green Sustainable Solutions. Her research focuses on developing new technology for plastic biodegradation and works to support and validate the use and production of circular products made from renewable resources.

Love-Ese has worked with all levels of government, non-profits and businesses to share her research experience and facilitate discussion, bringing greater understanding to the role of sustainable plastic products within the circular bioeconomy. 

Love-Ese is an advocate for sustainable science and science communication, she has delivered several public lectures to engage with the wider community on a variety of important issues.
